I obviously have no idea what the official video for “Way Too Cold” — famous for being formerly known at “TheraFlu” and for taking shots at Kris Humphries — will look like, but this unofficial one, featuring a kid doing his best Kanye impression in Midtown Manhattan while shadowed by a leggy blond, should almost suffice so much that there isn’t any need to produce an official one!

It features the visages of Donald Trump, Sarah Palin, Condoleezza Rice and Ronald Reagan in the form of people wearing masks we assume were bought at a Halloween store for Republicans. I’m not sure how director Ashley Smith, who goes by the name of “Ash Innovator” on Twitter, found the kid in the video, but he’s got his Yeezy imitation down pretty tight. Kid has potential as a mime at the very least.

This past week’s gossip was all about the life and times of Kanye West!  First you were hit with his Kim Kardashian inspired track “Theraflu,” then you got hit with my theme track for the week  “Mercy”— which is the first single off of the upcoming album from his G.O.O.D. Music label. The features verses from Big Sean, Pusha T, and 2 Chains, in addition to Yeezy himself. After a few listens (Full disclosure: I’ve had it on repeat since Thursday evening; Not too much to the lyrics, base line is crazy and the “bravado” is on full tilt), I’ve decided to go on record with the craziest lines from the track…
Big Sean: “Now we out in Paris / I’m Perrier-in” For those unfamiliar, Perrier makes carbonated water, and they do it very well. Basically, Big Sean and the A-listers on this track are lounging in Paris with some ice-cold, sparkling waters, which wouldn’t be that cool of a visual if it weren’t for this little song right HERE that you may have heard once or twice.
Pusha T: “Check the chain, check the wrist / Them head’s turnin’, that’s Exorcist…” Pusha hits us with a reference to the classic scene in The Exorcist where that girl’s head spins all the way round. Except instead of the Devil being the one responsible, this time it’s Pusha’s ice.
Kanye West: "I step in the Def Jam building like I’m the sh**/Tell them give me $50 million or I’m going to quit!" I couldn’t imagine walking into my boss’s office and telling them I need a raise or I’m outta here! Would love to know what that feels like… And SUCCEED!? Haha!
2Chainz: “Grade A, A1, chain the color of Akon/Platinum diamonds backpack around me/Cosigned by Louis Vuitton…” I haven’t been a big fan of 2Chainz, but this verse on THIS track was a monster!  Lots of swag!
